Howard Steinberg

Chairman of the Board, Independent Director


Mr. Steinberg has more than 20 years of investment experience as a senior executive, working within some of the largest financial institutions in the world. He has sat on over a dozen Boards including his current role as Executive Chairman of Parallax Developments Corp and as a board member of Trichome Financial, a specialty finance company focused on providing a range of credit-based capital solutions to the legal cannabis industry. He has invested personally and with global financial institutions in a wide range of industries in every area of the balance sheet. Mr. Steinberg has an MBA from the University of Western Ontario and is a CFA Charterholder.

Robin Linden

Executive VP, CMO


Mr. Linden contributes over 20 years of leadership and management experience, including roles at the University of Manitoba, Molson Breweries Canada, Canadian luxury retailer – Holt Renfrew, and Fairmont Hotels and Resorts. Mr. Linden brings with him experience in the branding and sales of a variety of cannabis-based products. Mr. Linden holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (with honours) from the University of Manitoba and obtained post-graduate diplomas from both Simon Fraser University (Vancouver) and the University of St. Andrews (Scotland).

Robert Wolf

Independent Director


Robert Wolf is a corporate director, active investor and financial management professional. Since 2008, through RTW Capital Corporation, he has been making active investments in and providing advisory services to North American businesses in a variety of sectors. During this period, he has also served on a number of boards of both public and private companies. Prior to 2008, Mr. Wolf was the Chief Financial Officer of RioCan REIT from its inception in 1994. In this role, he led all efforts to raise equity and debt capital in the public markets. In addition to being responsible for all financial reporting and compliance functions, he also played a key role in a number of significant transactions, including corporate acquisitions, joint ventures and debt restructurings. Prior to 1994, Mr. Wolf held a variety of positions in both public accounting and private/public real estate companies. Mr. Wolf is a Chartered Professional Accountant and holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business at York University and a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University.

Michael Wiener is the Chief Executive Officer of 35 Oak Holdings, where he oversees a portfolio of businesses and investments spanning the real estate, lighting manufacturing, automotive parts, storage, energy, mining, and horticulture industries. He has previously held various senior level positions including those of President and Executive Vice President at various operating companies within the portfolio of businesses he oversees today. Michael holds an HBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business and a Masters International Management from CEMS. He currently sits on the boards of 35 Oak Holdings, Arch Companies, and Accurcast, as well as his local Toronto based chapter of YPO (Young Presidents Organization).

Ted Tabisz

Independent Director


Mr. Tabisz is an Executive with TD Bank with over 15 years-experience in Retail Distribution, Product Management, Finance and Operations. Mr. Tabisz currently leads the Finance team supporting the Real Estate Secured Lending business. Prior to, as an executive with TD Insurance, he led the strategic development and change management of their Life and Health product suite, the culmination of which resulted in an industry Six Sigma process improvement award. Mr. Tabisz graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2001 with more recent on-going continuous learning through Schulich School of Business, York University Executive Education Centre.

James Andrews

VP, Operations


Mr. Andrews has 13 years of experience working with the cannabis industry in Europe and North America. He began his career in Europe focusing on cultivation and seed genetics, before moving to Canada. Since moving to Canada, James’ expertise has shifted to extraction and formulation, working on the development of high throughput processing and isolation. Mr. Andrews has developed compliant products for brands within a range of global cannabis markets.

Mark Forster

CFO


Mr. Forster has 30 years of experience in financial and management accounting in banking, manufacturing, oil and gas, and mining companies. His prior CFO experience includes Oracle Energy Corp and Teletouch Services Inc. He is a Chartered Public Accountant (CPA, CGA) registered in British Columbia and studied accounting at the University of British Columbia and British Columbia Institute of Technology.

Laird Choi

VP, Corporate Services


As the Head of HR for JLL Canada, Laird played an integral role in transforming the service model for JLL Canada facilitating its largest growth and most profitable fiscal performance since its inception. Prior to JLL Canada, Laird oversaw the HR and Office Services Division of Citco Global Securities Services (Canada), Citco Bank Canada, and Citco Securities, Canadian subsidiaries of the Citco Group of Companies, a worldwide group of independent financial service providers serving the world’s elite hedge funds, private equity and real estate firms, institutional banks, global 1000 companies, and high net worth individuals. Laird is a graduate of the Johnson Graduate School of Management (Cornell University), Smith School of Business (Queen’s University), and University of Toronto; a Certified HR Leader (CHRL) and Professional (CHRP) with the Human Resources Professional Association; and a designated Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute.

Fiona Orr

Legal Counsel


Fiona was formerly Senior Compliance Counsel, Ethics and Compliance Office reporting to the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer of The Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta, Georgia. Fiona was responsible for company Ethics and Code of Business Conduct compliance, administration and investigations, as well as compliance policy initiatives and programs across several international company business units. Prior to that, she was Vice-President, Secretary and Senior Managing Counsel with Coca-Cola Ltd. and The Minute Maid Company Canada Inc. for Canada. Responsible for any complaint oriented litigation related to the company, including class actions; She contributed to CCL’s growth by providing highly competent, proactive, timely, innovative and cost-effective legal services to constantly balance legal risk with required business objectives, while supporting overall corporate strategic objectives. Fiona is a graduate of Dalhousie Law School and McGill University with a B.A (Hons).

We invest in and partner with extraction and cultivation companies that can use a helping hand with experienced management and access to capital. We see an opportunity to partner with scientists that operate extraction facilities for oil and isolate production; and with growers that manage outdoor, indoor, and greenhouse facilities for cultivation, licensing, genetics, and seed propagation.

Dr. Brigitte Simons

RPIC and QAP (SublimeCulture)


Dr. Simons is one of the few experts in technical quantitative reporting using mass spectrometry, a technology that is used to deliver accurate potency and testing of cannabis products. Her experience covered drug toxicology, product health, and environmental safety, and was essential to the construction of the framework of Bill C-45 for Good Production Practices of Cannabis. Most recently, Dr. Simons was Vice President of Laboratories and Operations at Molecular Science Corp., a Health Canada-licensed laboratory services company specializing in analytical testing with a mobile lab to service the cannabis industry.

Sasha Przytyz

Seed Specialist and Master Grower (SublimeCulture)


Mr. Przytyz has extensive experience in the medicinal cannabis and horticultural sector. He is a designated cannabis grower, licensed through Health Canada’s MMAR and AMCPR programs since 2009. Sasha was the first private recipient of a Health Canada Industrial Hemp Research license in Québec. He is currently the owner of a cannabis seed brand- management company, Shazam Farms International Inc. Sasha established “The Joint Doctor” and “High-Bred Seeds” as world-renowned seed brands. Through the revolutionary strain “Lowryder,” he introduced the concept of autoflowering cannabis. Lowryder is recognized worldwide as the first 100% autoflowering variety and The Joint Doctor has been dubbed the “Father of Autoflowering.” Widely adopted by seed companies today, autoflowering strains now represent approximately 40% of the European seed market. 

Zach Tietolman

Master Grower (SublimeCulture)


Mr. Tietolman is a designated grower under the ACMPR. He has been involved in the construction process and development of multiple licenced producers and has over 12 years of experience in cannabis cultivation. He has experience in building and managing different types of growing systems including: ebb & flow, drip irrigation systems, deep water culture, working in both soil and soilless mediums.

James Wyatt

RPIC and QAP (Highland Grow)


Mr. Wyatt joined Highland Grow Inc. in February 2018 as the Head of Quality Assurance. Jim is approved by Health Canada as the Responsible Person and Quality Assurance Person for Highland. Prior to joining Highland, Jim was the Director of Quality Assurance at Oxford Frozen Foods Limited - one of the largest suppliers of frozen food products across the globe - where he ensured quality, regulatory compliance, and food safety standards at six processing facilities (four in Canada and two in the United States). Jim was also Director of Food Safety at Sobeys Inc., the second largest food retailer in Canada, where he was responsible for maintaining all facets of Sobeys’ Atlantic Canada Food Safety Program. Mr. Wyatt managed Retail Private Label Quality Assurance (QA) Departments at various Food Retailers, including QA program development and implementation, product development, regulatory affairs, product monitoring, vendor management and customer service.

Joseph Cameron

Master Grower (Highland Grow)


Mr. Cameron is the Master Grower of Highland Grow Inc. Joseph is a licensed electrician and has been cultivating cannabis for approximately 10 years. Joseph brings knowledge, skills, and experience in transplanting, cloning, defoliation and trimming as well as building and managing different grow systems, including outdoor grow and drip irrigation.

Tibor Antal

Business Development


Mr. Antal’s career as an entrepreneur spans over 30 years in the technology services and consumer goods industry. He has successfully founded a handful of companies and developed numerous consumer brands generating millions in revenue. Mr. Antal has also assisted a number of companies in achieving their goals. He understands all levels of creating and managing a business.

Sales & Marketing

With sales provincial sales agreements from coast to coast, MYM is in a prime position to take advantage of its relationships and understanding of evolving markets and distribution channels. These channels will be used for the current distribution of premium cannabis flower as well as future proprietary formulations and cannabis based products.

Clarence Boey

Product Manager


Mr. Boey provides a wide range of expertise in connection to cannabis procurement, branding, and launch of cannabis products within Biome’s brands across Canada. Beyond the cannabis industry, Clarence has acted for tobacco, consumer packaged goods, and ride sharing companies in the area of analytics, operations, and strategy. Clarence works regularly as a retail consultant for cannabis companies and advises Westcan Cannabis’s retail expansion and inventory procurement in Alberta and Ontario. Clarence is also the founder of PuffAdvisor.com, a leading cannabis travel platform. Clarence holds an Honours Business Administration degree from Ivey Business School.

Matthew Simms

Head of Sales


Matthew Simms is the National Category Manager for Highland Grow Inc. Matthew is responsible for the sale and distribution of Highland Grow’s products nationally by liaising with applicable government agencies in respective markets and establishing sales channels as appropriate. Previously, Matthew worked as Lead Environment Coordinator and/or Monitor for Johnson’s Construction Ltd., Rokstad Power, and Abengoa, respectively. Matt also worked for the government of Newfoundland and Labrador as an Environmental Scientist as part of the water quality monitoring program. Matthew is a graduate of Memorial University with a Bachelor of Science and advanced diploma in water quality (ADWQ).

Scott Millward

Creative Director


Scott has been using his creative focus to design new campaigns and projects that have enhanced company growth for over 20 years. He has developed marketing strategies for a variety of companies in the mining, critical infrastructure, retail, and cannabis sectors. Scott, a Vancouver Film School graduate, has honed his sense of design and marketing based on consumer trends using the latest technology to observe and utilizing the data to predict products and services that would appeal most to consumers.

Ian King

Analyst


Mr. King has played key roles at Biome Grow supporting critical business functions, including financial reporting & analysis, business planning, treasury, and IT. He has participated in various strategic development projects, including international partnerships, wholesale supply procurement, provincial sales agreements, and capital raising. Prior to Biome, Ian was an Associate at Jacob Capital Management, where he supported capital raising for new ventures, as well as assisting with the successful licensing application of a cannabis processor. Ian holds an MBA and HBA from the Ivey Business School.
