Erick Factor

Executive Chairman

Mr. Erick Factor has been appointed to the Company’s Board of Directors and will also serve as Executive Chairman. Mr. Factor is a well-known expert in the cannabis industry and has 20 years of experience in cultivating medical marijuana and manufacturing cannabis by-products, and has provided medical marijuana to thousands of patients over the past two decades. Mr. Factor is also the founder of the “Westcoast Medicann” dispensary, one of just a handful of dispensaries in Vancouver to be licensed under the City of Vancouver’s stringent bylaws. He has extensive experience working with Health Canada, from whom he has obtained MMAR and MMPR licenses for hundreds of patients, and has managed and operated grow facilities to produce for those patients. Mr. Factor has also gained invaluable experience over the past three years in ACMPR licensing regulations and applications.

Howard Steinberg

Executive Vice Chairman of the Board & CEO

Mr. Steinberg has more than 20 years investment experience as a senior executive, working within some of the largest financial institutions in the world. He has sat on over a dozen Boards including his current role as Executive Chairman of Parallax Developments Corp and as a board member of Trichome Financial, a specialty finance company focused on providing a range of credit-based capital solutions to the legal cannabis industry. He has invested personally and with global financial institutions in a wide range of industries in every area of the balance sheet. Mr. Steinberg has an MBA from the University of Western Ontario and is a CFA Charterholder.

Elizabeth Liu, QC

Executive Vice-President & Chief Legal Officer

Ms. Elizabeth Liu founded and is Managing Director of LINK Business Law Group, a law firm that provides a broad range of legal, strategic and risk management advice, as well as general counsel services. Her clients include both early-stage and established companies in a variety of industries. Prior to establishing LINK Business Law Group, Ms. Liu was Managing Partner at Basham Thompson & Liu LLP, a boutique litigation firm. She then served as Vice President and General Counsel to the Flora Group of Companies where she was involved in all aspects of the group’s operations and provided guidance on contracts and other legal and risk planning issues. Flora manufactures and sells premium natural health products and has numerous distributorships in international markets. Ms. Liu was appointed Queen’s Counsel by Order-in-Council in December 2016.

Robin Linden

Executive Vice-President & Chief Marketing Officer

Robin Linden contributes over 20 years of leadership and management experience, including roles at the University of Manitoba, Molson Breweries Canada, Canadian luxury retailer – Holt Renfrew, and Fairmont Hotels and Resorts. Mr. Linden brings with him experience in the branding and sales of a variety of cannabis-based products. Mr. Linden holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (with honours) from the University of Manitoba and obtained post-graduate diplomas from both Simon Fraser University (Vancouver) and the University of St. Andrews (Scotland).

Mark Forster

Chief Financial Officer

Mark Forster has 30 years of experience in financial and management accounting in banking, manufacturing, oil and gas, and mining companies. His prior CFO experience includes Oracle Energy Corp and Teletouch Services Inc. He is a Chartered Public Accountant (CPA, CGA) registered in British Columbia and studied accounting at the University of British Columbia and British Columbia Institute of Technology.

Charith Adkar

Chief Science Officer

Charith Adkar completed his PhD in Plant Biology and Crop Production from the University of Milano, Italy with the specialization in Molecular Plant Pathology. He has done his postdoctoral studies at Hirosaki University, Japan and Université de Sherbrooke, Canada. His areas of expertise include: Plant Science, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Molecular host-pathogen interactions and Bioinformatics. His career highlights include the development of molecular diagnostic kits for the detection of pathogens, studies on molecular basis of pathogenesis of non-coding RNAs. His work has featured in more than 45 scientific publications, a book chapter and a filed patent as a co-inventor. He has given several invited talks at national and international scientific meetings as well as at universities. He is a member of several international and national professional societies and serves as a scientific reviewer in high-impact biological science journals. He has received several prestigious fellowships such as Japan Society for promotion of Sciences (JSPS) Postdoctoral Fellowships for Foreign Researchers, Fonds québécois de la recherche sur la nature et les technologies (FQRNT), Quebec, Canada. He also received the best research article award from the Phytopathological Society of Japan and Journal of General plant pathology for the research article for the year 2015.

Paul Cheetham

Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Paul Cheetham brings substantial business management and financial expertise, along with strong leadership skills to his role as Chief Operating Officer. Has 20 years of business experience working in a variety of roles from sales to finance, marketing, technology and leadership. In addition to these skills and experiences, he is President and owner of Signals Design Group, a high-calibre communications agency, and sits on the board of the BC Council for Families. A Harvard Business School graduate, Mr. Cheetham utilizes a high-level strategic view to applying his knowledge and understanding of organizational structure, along with his passion for efficiency and streamlined business practices, creating clear direction and bringing overarching corporate goals and the process to achieve them into focus. Mr. Cheetham firmly believes in having the right culture to execute efficiently.
